OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT | “The Arizona Kid,” to be screened i to-night and Tuesday, is a romantic and colourful Story Of the old SouthWest, with Warner Baxter appearing in the part of a gay, reckless bandit, who lives, and fights with equal facility. Mona Maris supports the star, and portrays the dance-hall girl heroine and her performance has been enthusiastically acclaimed in reviews. Many other favourites are in this exciting production. . “High Society Blues” will be screened at Blackball to-night. BLAKETOWN DANCE. The old-time dance will be hfeld tonight, and it is promised to be one of the best yet held. The fourth heat of the waltzing competition tyill takeplace. NGAHERE SPORTS CLUB BALL A grand concert and ball will be held in the Ngahere Hall on Wednesday, November 18, and a large attendance of both town and country residents is expected. Ah attractive concert programme has been arranged, and the dance is expected to be most enjoyable. Kennedy’s bus will leaye the Greymouth Post Office at 7.15 p.ihQOSTUME RECITAL. In aid of the funds of the Grey Main School, a grand costume recital, organised by Miss Adria Bush, will be held in the Town Hall to-morrbw evening, and a large attendence is expected. Novelty ballets,. with beaiitiful dress and decorative features, will be attraction that shduld. prove most popular, and a number of fairy plays, and other novelty items should add much to the general attractiveness of the recital, which promises to be an outstanding success. Much time and practice have been put into the production of the recital by those taking part, and the popularity of the entertainment appears assured.
