CORSICAN BANDITS

FRENCH CHASE DIFFICULT [by CABLE —PBESB ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. November 15, 8 a.m.). AJACCIO, November 15. Two French submarines are intercepting all outgoing ships, searching for bandits, who are suspected of attempting to refuge in Italy and France. It is reported that Spada (the leader) has escaped to Marseilles. Government forces .are finding it difficult to continue the search, owing to the thick scrub, deep ravines, caves, and the mountains affording perfect hiding places. Many of the arrested are obviously not guilty, and their detention is irritating the Corsican population.
