ACTRESS DEAD

AFTER LONG ILLNESS. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] LONDON, November 13. The death has occurred of the actress and impersonator, Mrs Bernard Kitchen, who was known as Miss “Wish Wynne.” Her demise occurred after a heroic twelve months’ fight against pain. She did not recover after a serious operation last year, but she res.umed broadcasting, under the greatest difficulties, and collapsed. She recently left her sick bed to broadcast, not wishing to disappoint her admirers, but she again collapsed. Any further operation was impossible and she died in Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital, where her husband, Mr Bernard Kitchen, the New Zealand pianist, who formerly accompanied' his wife’s impersonations, is now a medical student, he resuming his duties, which were interrupted by the war. It had been planned that she should give up the stage when he had qualified. They intended to live in Australia with their 12 years old son.
