A PUNITIVE EXPEDITION. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] " AJACCIO, November 9. Following on the brigand Bartoli’s death, an expedition of six hundred gendarmes, ten armoured cars, and a pack of bloodhounds arrived here on Sunday from Marseilles, finally to exterminate the brigands from the mountains who are estimated to number thirty leaders, and perhaps 200 others. The expedition is in charge of General Fornier, who is also provided with small naval patrol boats, which are cruising the coast to prevent the outlaws from leaving.
