WEDDING

MURTHA—LALOR. The wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Kumara, on Wednesday, of Doris, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. F. Lalor, to George, fourth som of Mr and Mrs Murtha. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Lofda'n. , Mrs Hemera presided at the organ. The bride was escorted by her father and was charmingly attired in a frock of shell pink georgette and silk net over satin. It was made ankle-length with full flared flounces. Her embroidered veil was held in place with • a coronet of orange-blossoms and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet, and was attended by two bridesmaids. Miss Claire Murtha, sister of the Bridegroom, wore a frock of

blue celanese with hat and shoes to match, Miss Mary Gilbert, ,wore a frock of leman celanese with hat and shoes to match, both maids carried charming bouquets, While little Eileen Hamilton made a pretty flower girl, wearing a long frilled frock of 1 blue georgette and carrying a basket of flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Jack Lalor, brother of the bride, as best man and Mr Gilbert Murtha as groomsman. After <■ the ceremony; a reception was held at the Memorial Hall. Mrs Lalor received her guests wearing a frock of brown georgette and radium face. Mrs Murtha wore a frock of black embroidered celanese with hat to match. 'The newly-married couple left later by private car en route for -Christchurch and Dunedin, the bride travelling in a frock of brown celanese, relieved with beige and i.beige hat to tofie. The presents were 'numerous, including a number of cheques. The yoiTng people were entertained with a dance in the evening. .
