SUPREME COURT

WELLINGTON CRIMINAL SESSIONS [PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, October 27. Five cases, including that in which George Erroll Coates is charged with tho murder of the girl, Symons, were presented for consideration to the Grand 'Jury, when the criminal sessions of tho Supreme Court opened to-day, before Justice MacGregor. Time bills wore returned in each instance. In addressing the Grand Jury, His Honor remarked that there were not many cases for this final criminal sittings of tho year, but he was bound to say the cases, few as they were, would take some time to try, more especially the indictment against Coates. Tho cases include one of alleged arson by a farmer, and also alleged conspiracy to defraud bookmakers.
