Owing to quarrels and jealousies between rival groups of Hambuig po-lice-women, they battled, destroying the office furniture. Two afterwards sent a letter to the Police Chief stating they were resigning, and announcing the intention of committing suicide. They walked in the North Sea, and shot themselves, the dead bodies being washed ashore. _
