MUSSOLINI’S POLICY

FASCISTS AND CHURCH. [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.! ROME, July 10. Already some fifty thousand out of the hundred and fifty thousand people who are members of both the Catholic Action Party and the Fascist Party, have resigned their membership of the Catholic Actioilists. For weeks past people have been writing to the Pope and asking for his fldvice, as they are threatened with dismissal from their Government positions unless they leave the Catholic Action movement. The Pope understands that these men must live and must support their families. He therefore will not interfere so long as they remain Roman Catholics at heart.
