Turning to try on a hat in an Auckland store one day last week, a woman left her purse, containing two £5 notes,.on a counter. When she went to pick up the purse a few minutes later, it had disappeared. Subsequently the purse, from which the money had been abstracted, was found discarded on another floor in the store.
