RUGBY FOOTBALL

PORTER’S CHANGED PLANS [PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, /April 10. Mr. C. G. Porter’s plans ..regarding his trip abroad were altered after his arrival at Auckland. It was the ex-All Black captain’s intention to proceed to Canada by the “Aorangi” but he decided, after making inquiries, that it would be more advantageous to go to England before visiting Canada. He has cancelled his passage from Auckland, and has booked by the “Tainui.” He leaves Wellington to-mor-row for England. Mr. Porter states that he has. no intention of again playing football, although he will be a keen follower of the game. He is turning his attention to business-matters, and it is. solely on this account that he is making the trip abroad. He proposed to spend some time in England, and then visit Canada.
