HOKITIKA NOTES

[OUR OWN COERESPONDENT.]

HOKITIKA, February 27. During their visit to Hokitika the Governor-General, and Lady Bledisloe, inspected the hospitals and expressed pleasure at the neat appearance of the buildings and the well-kept grounds, and as a sequel Mr Geo. Davidson has received an autograph photograph of His Excellency and Lady Bledisloe, and a note expressing the country’s thanks for the wonderful work he has done at the Westland Hospital. The address on the envelope containing the treasured note and photo, said: “Mr Geo. Davidson, Member Hospital Board and .Benefactor.” The Hokitika Swimming Club held a carnival at the baths last evening.
