EXPLOSION AND FIRE

SYDNEY, October 25.

An explosion, the origin of which is unknown, heralded a fire at the Federal Furnishing Coy’s premises in the suburb of Leichardt, early this morning. The spectacular blaze was watched by thousands. The building was destroyed. The damage is estimated at £25.000.
