The Budget Committee of the Reichstag struck out the first instalment for the second ■ “podket battleship” from the Naval Estimates. ' LONDON, May 9.
The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says the decision as to the pocket battleship is practically certain to be confirmed by the Reichstag.

WASHINGTON, May 9.
Chairman Britten, to-day, introduced a bill for 936,995,000 dollars for- warship construction, which he holds is necessary for the United States parity with Britain under the London Treaty.
U.S.A. WHEAT.
WASHINGTON, May 9.
The estimated production of winter wheat this year, as indicated on May 1, was announced by the Department of Agriculture as 52,507,000 bushels, compared with 57,833,600 last year, and 50,064,500 for the ten years’ average.
