DEATH OF HUNTER
A COUNT’S LOST FORTUNE.
BUDAPEST, March 22
The death has occurred at a comparatively early age of Count Louis Konigsegg, the famous Hungarian explorex- and big game hunter.
The son of a wealthy Hungarian aristocrat and landowner, he was drawn irresistibly to Africa by his love of adventure. After' many exciting hunting expeditions, he went to Abyssinia, where he lived fox* seven years. He became the intimate friend of the Negus Menelik, and married an Abyssinian princess. Aftex ? her premature death, Count Konigsegg returned to Hungary. He lost his fortune as a result of
the war, and the Communists robbed him of his rich ethnographic collection ami of his 10,000 African photographs. Destitute, he turned towards literature, and wrote several novels as well as a description of his travels. His books promised to prove a great success, and were on the eve of publication when he died of tuberculosis in great misery.
