BOXING
TO-NIGHT’S CONTEST.
Everything is in readiness at the Town Hall for to-night’s professional welter-weight contest between Reg. Trowern and Ted. Morgan, and the Greymouth Boxing Association fully expects that a full house will see the bout, which, on' paper, is one of the most attractive possible in New Zealand at the present time. Both boxers are in fine fettle, and their respective supporters are confident of success. Greater experience is to the advantage of Trowern, but Morgan’s recent performances in the ring have been such as to gain him plenty of support tonight. The main bout will be preceded by several amateur contests, which may be relied upon to provide action in plenty. Doors will be opened at 7.15 p.m., and the first gong is timed to sound at 8 p.m. sharp. Trains to Rewanui, Blackball, and Hokitika have been delayed, in order’ to meet the convenience of, country patrons. Prices are moderate, and there should be a very large attendance when the boxers step into the ring.
