Leicester, first, 72 (Robins took 6 for 29 including hat trick) second 139 (Peebles took 4 for 32). Middlesex won by 30 runs.

Gloucestershire, first 201 (Hammond 127); second 189 (Lyon 87, Smith not out 53. Eastman took 4 for 45). Essex, first 144 (Parker took 5 for 55); second 134 (Parker 4 for 65). Gloucester won by 112 runs. Derby, first 181 (R. Tyldesley took 6 for 48); second 78 (Hopwood 4 for 23, Tyldesley 6 for 33). Lancashire, first 85 (Mitchell 5 for 34); second 175 for 3 58. E.
