Established 1865 Beg to thank their clients and the public for the loyalty shown to them during their recent fire, notwithstanding the possible delays that have eventuated through the dislocation of business caused in the change of premises etc. We beg to announce that pending extensive rebuilding operations, our WHOLESALE GROCERY business will be conducted in those premises recently occupied by Harley & Co., Boundary Street, and our WHOLESALE IRONMONGERY DEPARTMENT in our own premises adjacent to our former ironmongery department, Mackay Street. The Retail Department will be conducted as heretofore in Mawhera Quay. We cabled immediately to our London buyers to replenish our Hardware and Grocery Stocks and have large shipments arriving daily of the latest brands in grocery and hardware, being able to take advantage of the falling markets. We have now a coipplete stock of Groceries and Hardware, including porcelain baths, basins, wire ropes, sawmillers’, builders’ and mining requisites. In future our Wholesale Grocery and Ironmongery Departments, Boundary and Mackay Streets, will close at 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
