TECH. EX-PUPILS’ ASSN.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Nearly six years have elapsed since the opening ceremony of the Greymouth Technical High School occurred. Pupils have come and gone--gone, cherishing memories of the school they were leaving, and feeling no doubt, pangs of regret when they realised fully that with their departure they would lose perhaps all traces of old school friends. Such a thing, however, can quite easily be rectified by co-operation of a few enthusiastic ex-pupils, and the subsequent formation of an Old Pupils’ Association. Imagine the beneficial results to be derived from it—old friendships would be renewed, reminiscences exchanged, and pupils of the school itself would be imbued with a still stronger spirit of school respect, combined with a general desire to become each a member of the O.P.A. when their schooldays were left behind. Sincerely hoping this meets in the near future with the required result (in the form of a convened meeting) from some oldpupils resident in Greymquth. —I am etc., EX-PUPIL, Blackball, 11/2/29.
