WEDDING
HAVILL—DITELY. The wedding was celebrated at All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, on Wednesday last, of Dorothy Alice, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs L. A. Ditely, Arahura, to Arthur Selwyn, second son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Havill, Arahura. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Nelson AVright. Mr Johnson presided at the organ. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of the “AVedding March.” She was attired in ankle-length frock of ivory crepe-sylvia. mauve, trimmed with silver lace. Her tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of mauve and cream sweet peas and roses with cream st,rqajners. She was attended by Miss Honey Dalgleish in a frock of delphinium blue georgette with petaled overdress of blue tulle with shoes and stockings to tone. Her bouquet was of pale pink and white sweet peas with blue streamers. The duties of best man were discharged by Mr Jack Havill, brother of the bridegroom. After the ceremony the bride’s mother received her guests at Preston’s tea rooms in a model frock of blue crepe de chine with fawn hat and shoes and stockings to match, assisted by Mrs J. Havill (mother of the bridegroom), who wore a frock of black georgette and black and gold hat. The bride’s going away dress was of atmosphere crepe de chine, featuring the new uneven hem line trimmed with mauve, with hat to match, and smart tailored coat of navy charmelaine.
