FRONTIER SKIRMISH SEQUEL MINISTER GIVEN PASSPORT (Australian Press Association.) (By Cable—Press Assn—Copyright.) (Recd. Dec. 10, 8 a.m.) LA PAZ (Bolivia), December 8. The Paraguayan Charge d’Affaires was given his passport, and started under guard for Peru on Saturday. ■ President Siles suspended the municipal election because of the situation created by the frontier clash on Friday, when Paraguayan cavalry _ are stated to have attacked a Bolivian outpost. Popular- demonstrations occurred and three cavalry squadrons were placed about the Paraguayan Legation. Negotiations have been m progress some time for a settlement of the boundary dispute. The Bolivian Government discloses that Paraguay requests that the Committee of Inquiry, provided by the Pan-American Conference of 1923, investigate the incident. The Government replied that Bolivia is prepared to consider arbitration, but will not provide prior full reparation for the outrage. The statement says that Fort Vanguardia, with a garrison of 35 men, was surprised and attacked by three hundred cavalry and infantry, captured and burned. Most of the garrison were killed and the survivors were taken prisoner. The Bolivian Legation has withdrawn from Paraguay.
