CHILDREN’S SHOW
CONTINUED TO-DAY. The Children’s A. and P- Show, which was postponed from last Saturday, reopened this morning, when the numerous and diversified exhibits, work of primary and secondary school scholars from all over the Coast, were again on view- Unfortunately, rain again interfered with the proceedings, considerably curtailing the attendance of town and country people and necessitating temporary postponement of the children’s sports- The sports commenced at 11 a.m., but a heavy shower soon after sent hundreds of children from the town and country schools scurrying to the shelter of the grandstands. Teachers from the different schools are assisting in the programme, which w’ill be continued, if possible, between thq showers. The Show people are unfortunate in the weather meted out to them, and had to-day been fine, the Children’s Show would have been a marked success, financially as well as educationally. A big crowd of Blackball people arrived in the morning train to attend the Show, and were accompanied by the Blackball Pipe Band.
