“NEW REVEILLE.” Many nice things have been said of the “New Reveille” Company at the Town Hall, and these tributes were again proved justified, last evening, when the third performance was prerented to a largo audience. The mountings and dresses, scenery, etc., aroused general admiration, the local amateurs proving to be talented, beyond optimistic expectations. Things throughout were kept moving, and there were no dull moments, the performers appearing to revel in their work. As before, the ballets secured chief honours, the dancing by the Choruses being really high-class. The Acrobatic Specialty Dance by Mr W. Lints and Miss A. Mills was deservedly encored, as were various others, including Miss J. Miller, whose toedancing was again excellent. The soloists—Miss B. Adkins, Miss M. Warnes, Mrs W. Fletcher, Mrs C. Hall, Miss D. O’Hallahan, Miss F. Fraser, Miss D. Donovan, and Mr N. Jones added to their laurels, assisted by a clever orchestra. The lighting effects were again capably managed, and the smoothness of the proceedings proved that clever organisation was effected behind the scenes. Messrs A Wilde, L. McGlashan and Miss Doreen O’Hallahan were responsible for most of the humour, their local “hits” pleasing the “victims” as well as the general audience. Altogether, the “New Reveille” is well worth attending, more than once, and there should be large attendances for the remainder of the season. To-night’s programme will include several changes. Amongst the new numbers will be a beautiful. Indian number, the Bell Topper Ballet, the Human Fountain Act by GO performers, the beautiful Flower Ballet, “My Blue Heaven,” by Miss Adkins and Ballet, the Butterfly Ballet, “The Intruder,” a comedy sketch; “Breeze,” with full Ballet.
