RAZOR-SLASHER PERTH, Dec. 5.
An Italian, named Vincenzo Upapolia, was slashed in the face with a razor by a countryman, Arcangel Strano, who later gave himself up to the police.

Mr. Bavin announced the retirement of Mr. O’Malley Wood, President of the Government Savings Bank, and also Mr. J. Davies, Third Commissioner of the Bank. He added that Mr. R. D. Hall had been appointed President, while two vacant Commissionershif(3 would be filled by the appointment of Mr. R.-May, Chief Inspector of the Bank, and Mr. A. Turner, Secretary. FOUND SHOT PERTH, December 5. A message from Kondinin states that Patrick O’Brien, thirty-two, was shot dead in bed at the Mon Repos Hostel. O’Brien’s partner in a motor engineering works was arrested on a charge of drunkenness pending inquiries. A gun, with one cartridge exploded, was found in the pantry. ELECTORAL BILL. SYDNEY, December 5. The new Electoral Bill, providing for a re-distribution of electorates, is now before the Legislative Assembly. The Sydney Metropolitan area is to have forty-three seats, . Newcastle area five seats, and the country area forty-two seats. Each metropolitan electorate is to have about 20,090 electors, and each country electorate approximately 14,000, consequently the balance of voting power in favour of the country electorates, will be nearly 50 per cent.
