(Recd. October 11, 1 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, October 10. A young South African, Gerry Bouwer, with his wife, completed' a motor’ trip from Cairo to Capetown in forty days. Against his wish, his wife stowed away in the car at Cairo. Thousands participated in a wild welcome to him. The Administrator stressed the fact that they had accomplished a feat which many considered impossible, in South Africa. There had been several famous rides, and this was one of the most famous.
