CLOTHES CATCH FIRE
WOMAN’S DREADFUL INJURIES

CARTERTON, October 9
Mrs Albert Hooker, aged sixty, was seriously burned this morning, through her clothes catching fire while washing’.
The flesh of one arm was almost completely destroyed, while the legs and body were shockingly burned. She was alone in the house at the time, and managed to put the flames out. She was removed in a serious condition to the Masterton Hospital.
