SYDNEY, October 7.
The gang warfare in Sydney, which has hee» quiescent for several months, was renewed last night, when a gunman stepped out of a taxi and shot down a pedestrian at’ the corner of Foveaux and Terry Streets, in Surry Hills. The victim was William Dillon, aged 56 years, who was sent to the hospital with two bullet wounds The ? doctors hope that he will recover. ’ '

As the latter moved aside, thpLman said“Nojjß I’ve got you!’’ A shbt rang, out. Dillon* whp was behind Carrington, sagged to the ground, and a second shot was fired as he fell. The gupman then re-entered the car, which sped/away into Elizabeth Street. All passed in. a few. seconds.
