VANCOUVER, September 28.
A message from Edmonton states: .Vernon Bocher, aged 19 years, was found guilty of murder by shooting his mother, his brother and two hired men, on their Nanville farm. He will be hanged on December 15. He confessed to the crime. He said he did it because his mother had nagged him about his sweetheart.

MELBOURNE, October 1.
William Carr, aged twenty-five, was arrested after an exhustive search in the Gippsland bush, and charged with murdering Margaret Williams, at Wonthaggi (by cutting her throat).
