DR THACKER’S ATTITUDE.
(Special to “Star.”} CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. A deputation from the United Party waited on Mr H. T. J. Thacker yesterday, asking him to stand for the Avon electorate as the party’s representative. Dr Thacker, however, told the deputation that if he stood at all, he was pledged to stand for Christchurch North as a “Seddoh Liberal.”
