(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.' (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) TASMANIAN ELECTIONS. HOBART, May 30. Polling day for the General Election of the Legislative Assembly has concluded a quiet campaign. The electors have been manifesting only a slight interest, as most of the meetings were very poorly attended. There are seventy-two candidates for the thirty seats. The candidates consist of the following: Thirty-six Nationalists, twenty-five Labourites and eleven Independents. LATER. The election returns, will be inconclusive for several days, b,ut it is possible for the retiring Labour Administration to be returned with two of a majority. It is equally feasible that the Nationalists will gain a similar majority, and it is not improbable that the rival parties will gain an equal number of seats, and the result be a deadlock.
