Cabinet approved the reply to the American anti-war proposal, and were pleased to support the proposition, on Hie understanding it did not conflict with the agreement oi the League of Nations, to action due to self protection. Japan is ready to participate in the conference to substantiate a pact. CANA DA’S INVITATION OTTAWA, May 24. Canada’s reply to the United States’ invitation regarding the renunciation-ot-war treaty will bo forwarded to Washington next 'week and will be favourable.
