BOXING
LECKIE BEATS CARR. (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 25. A fifteen round professional contest between Hector Leckie (Dunedin), 9st 11b, and Jimmy Carr (Millerton), 9st 21b, endedc with Carr being knosked out in the third round. The bout was staged at Winton, under the auspices of the Bluff Boxing Association. In round three, Leckie took the offensive immediately, and clinching saved Carr. The Coast man was rushed to the ropes to take a pummelling on the ribs and head that spelt the beginning of the end. A perfect right to “the head knocked Carr through the ropes. He took the count for nine, but came up only to stop a right and left io the head and chin, to stay down for the full count two minutes after the round had commenced. RISKO BEATS USCUNDUN. . ■ NEW YORK, November 25. Risko won on points in a ten rounds contest with Paolico Uscundun, the latter being warned several times foihitting low. Risko is not considered a possible challenger to Tunney.
