POISONING TRAGEDY

THE ENQUIRY OPENED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 8. The request - regarding the deaths of Mary Minnie Blackwell, aged 36, and her daughters, Marjorie Doreen Blackwell aged 14, and Muriel Mercia Blackwell aged 11, victims of the poisoning tragedy at Kar'aka on Tuesday afternoon, was formally opened to-day-. Evidence of identification was given by Herbert John Blackwell, husband of Mrs Blackwell, and father of the two girls, and the inquest was then adjourned sine die. The funeral of the victims will be held to-morrow.
