DRAMATIC ART
It will come as good news to those interested in elocution, and singing, especially in view of the forthcoming Westland and West Coast Competition Festivals, to learn that Mrs Bringezu, who is well known in musical circles in Dunedin, and a very popular performer, taking leading parts in the Dunedin Operatic Society and Shakcsperian Club, who has also sung for the Philharmonic Orchestra and Male Choir, at Dunedin, and assisted other organisations, who is now resident in Greymouth, has decided to afford hm services to a limited number of pupils. While it has been stated by both the Musical and Elocutionary Judges at the Greymouth Festivals, that the standard of work is high and improving, it has several times been suggested that tuition was required to bring promising performers to the front. Mrs Bringezu, who prior to her marriage was Miss Florence Pacey, is well known as a talented elocutionist and vocalist, having competed with marked success at the main city Festivals in New Zealand. She has also repeatedly received the most complimentary notice from the press for her talented work, and also for the excellence of the performances of her pupils, at concerts, which have been given, from time to time, in Otago and Southland districts. Her pupils have been uniformly successful at Competition Festivals. There is ample scope for a teacher possess ing Mrs Bringezu’s talents, and doubtless Greymouth enthusiasts will make the most .of their opportunity to secure tuition from her. —AD.
