WAR PENSION AND DEBTS (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 24. Application was made by the Official Assignee to-day to Mr. Justice Adams for a ruling on the question of whether the accrued pension of a deceased ex-soldier could be used to pay his debts. The case concerned the bankrupt estate of George Lyndon Robinson, deceased, Waimate, who some time in hospital. During that period his war pension accrued to the extent of £2BO. Upon his death, he left a large number of debts but no dependents. His Honour held that the Official Assignee had no claim on the accrued pension, on account of the protection of the Statute.
