Miss Nuttall played well, but Mdlle Deve placed the ball magnificently. AMERICANS WIN. LONDON, June 18. In the lawn tennis at Manchester, America beat Britain by five matches to nil. Tilden beat Higgs 6/4, 6/3, 6/2; Hunter beat Greig 6/1, 7/5, 6/8, 8/6.
