OPERA HOUSE. Theatre patrons who admirej Buck .Tones in ‘‘Lazybones,” and enjoyed his quaint conception of the indolent irresponsible but lovable ‘‘Lazybones,,’’ will find many traces of the same fine character sketching in "The Gentle. Cyclone,” which comes to the Opera House to-night. Buck, of course, is the "cyclone,” and despite the suggestion of gentleness in the title of the picture, at times is a vigorous and tornadic as his fondest fan could wish. He swings a pair of very lusty and decisive fists. SUNDAY NIGHT BENEFIT. At the Sunday night benefit in the Opera House the star attraction to be presented will be "Yellow Fingers,” starring beautiful Olive Borden. A story of the wonderful tropical isles with thrills galore. Don’t miss this one. It’s great. MONDAY ONLY. A motion picture that has the speed of a machine gun. That’s ‘‘The Enchanted Hill,” the film version of Peter B. Kyne’s latest dynamic novel, which comes to the Opera House on Monday night for one night only. The story gets its title from the fact that the ranch house, around which most of the action centres, has been built on a very high hill commanding a magnificent view of the country for miles around. The plot has to do with the spectacular fight waged by Holt and Miss Vidor to keep their cattle ranches, which Berry and a gang of desperadoes are trying to take away from them. From start to finish there isn’t a dull moment in the picture, what with fist fights, machine-gun battles, airplane thrills and feats of horsemanship. There is a vein of mystery, charming love scenes and plenty of comedy relief to balance the more sensational portions of the story.
“MARIETTE.” The musical comedy “Mariette” will be performed at Runanga on Monday evening, Greymouth on Tuesday I (farewell performance), and at Hoki- | tika on Wednesday.
