Der Tag’s correspondent telegraphed from Roumania that King Ferdinand’s condition is hopeless, ho being attacked by cancer. The Telegraph’s Agency reports that King Ferdinand is sinking. He is reduced to a skeleton. The Telegraph Agency states that the Roumanian authorities are striving to prevent Queen Marie and exPrince Carol frojn meeting at Paris, by whisking the Queen direct to Bucharest from the ship. Meanwhile the operation on the King is being delayed pending Queen Marie's arrival.

The “Daily Mail’s” Vienna correspondent says: King Ferdinand supremely desires to see Prince Carol, who is at present in Paris, with his lover, Madame Lupescu. He has written expressing a wish to visit King Ferdinand, insisting that Princess Helen, from whom he desires a divorce, in order. to marry Lupescu, must be sent from Roumania. Princess Helen has won the respect of Roumanians, who consider’ Carol’s demand atrocious. Premier Bratianu considers that Carol’s kingship would entail civil war, but Ferdinand, if Carol shows indication of being a worthy successor, would rescind the latter’s renunciation of the throne.
