POULTRY AND PIGEONS
SOUTH ISLAND ASSN. MEETING (Per Press Association ) DUNEDIN, Nov. 25. The annual meeting of the South Island (New Zealand) Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association was opened this morning The President (G. E. Jeffreys) was in the chair, and the clubs were represented as follow: — Messrs A. W.McPickel (Christchurch Poultry), J. Gerrie (Oamaru Poultry), Milliard (Tapanui), G. H. Bradford (United Pigeon), J. Hore (Dunedin Fanciers), F. Hansen (Dunedin Utility), T. A. Brown (Dunedin Specialists Young Bird), T. Kennedy (Norih Canterbury). G. Bundy (Ashburtoi). J. D. Gobbc (New Zealand Utility Poultry). L. Colbourne (Kaitangata). W. A. W. Clapp (Nightcaps), J. Gough (Invercargill) and Mrs. E. Davidson (New Zealand Rhode Island Reds). The Canterbury Bantam, Christchurch Canary. Christchurch Pigeon, Lyttelton Fanciers, Otautau League and Greymouth Clubs, were represented by proxy.
The resignation of the Heriot Club was received with regret, the President stating it. was possible that the club had merged with another.
An invitation was received from Timaru to hold the next annual meeting of the Association there, and was accepted unanimously. The President said the poultry fancy' had been re-pstabli.sh.ed in Timaru, and the holding of the meeting there would be a fillip.
