PRINCE AND FILM
A doubtful enterprise
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association).
LONDON, October 21. The Daily Express says an American film based upon a play entitled “Just Suppose?” is being offered to the Rritisui exhibitors. It attempts to make capital out of the Prince of Wales, who is pictured as marrying an American girl. With an astonishing absence of good taste, the film actor parodies the Prince of Wales s mannerisms, such as that of straightening his ties, fidgeting with his collar, and toying with his pipe. Thb'American version even shows the Prince of Wales falling off a horse, but it is not known if this incident survives in the English version. As the ownets of the film are averse from submitting the production to the Criticism of the Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association of England, the latter, have cabled to America that the film should not be produced.
