CAPPY RICKS.
(To the Editor)
Sir, —Being a keen play-goer and a lover of something worth while, I am particularly pleased to notice that, the J. C. Williamson enterprise is favouring the Coast with a production of the comedy “Cappy Ricks.” The usual cry from a Coaster, is that we are deprived of many of the pleasures enjoyed by the average town of its size away from here, and particularly so far as plays are concerned. Well, as one who recently saw the comedy “Cappy Ricks” up North, I can honestly recommend every one who is anxious for a good night’s entertainment, to roll up at the Opera House either Tuesday or Wednesday night and I’m confident they will be very pleased with the result. I trust the patronage which will be accorded to the production at the Opera House on this visit, will be sufficiently encouraging to warrant the management in favouring us with more regular visits in the future. It must be admitted that the prices of admission are reasonable, in comparison to what we have been accustomed to paying of recent years, and it is only to be expected that the possibility of more regular visits in the future will depend upon the result of this visit. Thanking you for the space afforded me in the columns of your popular paper. I am, etc., — ’ “PLAY-GOER.”
