REEF’I’ON, August 28

There is a movement afoot to term a class in Reefton for lessons m first ■aid and a meeting with that object in view is to be field at the weekend. A knowledge of what to do untiil thu doctor comes is much to be desired, especially around the mine-.

The Soccer Club held another of their euchre parties last evening, the smni-final games being played. Mrs M-Cormick was- first for the ladies’ prize, and Mrs Man nix second, after > '-ven -playing ofl’. Gents. Mr He vison first. Mr Ching second. Mrs Hewmon (piano) and Mr Spencer Zl 'a”io), provided the dance music. Mr Fred B-rwirlh was M.C.'
