TENNIS DISPUTE.

As an outgrowth of the controversy over the prospective disbarment of Tilden from amateur tennis, Tex Rickard, the promoter, is considering the staging of professional tennis in 1925, when the player-writer rule will be effective.

According to a Philadelphia message, Tilden, answering countrywide queries regarding his attitude to the qmateur ruling, said: “My resignation from the Davis Cup Olympic team has been officially accepted by the committee, thus closing the incident so far as I am concerned.” BILLIARDS ’.CHAMPIONSHIP.
