WELLINGTON, A> An Anzac day greeting telegram, as follows, was addressed by the General' Officer Commanding the , Mew Zealand Military Forces, to General Birdwood, Northern Command of In-dia,-General Godley, commanding, the British forces on the Rhine, and the Headquarters- of the Commo Military Forces, Melbourne. . “New Zealand, forces send kindest greetings and • remembrances of An-: zac. (Signed),. General Melville. . The following telegram was received from the President, 2nd. Battalion, Australian Imperial- Forces Association, “The Second Battalion, A.I.F. Association convey Anzac greetings to Gallipoli comrades.’’ To this the following reply ... was _ despatched : “Your Association’s kind greetings heartily reciprocated by their New Zealand Anzac comrades.” (Signed), Melville. The following further . telegrams have been. received, (1) From Headquarters of the Commonwealth Military forces, Melbourne, “Kindest greetings and remembrances from the Australian forces to theii’ New Zealand comradeis on the anniversary of Anzac Day; (2), From General Birdwood. Lahore, “Greetings and remembrances to all old comrades and people of New Zealand for Anzac Day.”
