At Alaplewood (New Jersey), Hagen and Kirkwood defeated Travers and Reekie (amateurs) by three and two over thirty-six holes. Kirkwood, who completed the first eighteen in seventyone, received a special prize of . one hundred dollars for the' day’s best individual medal score. DANISH-RUSSIAN TRADE. ■\ new Russo-Danish financial .institution, the Northern Credit Company, which has a capital of five million kroner, has been formed with two Russian bankers and three Danes as directors, to support Russian export and import trade. The capital has already been subscribed. The company is expected to commence operations in January.
