REVISING 10. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) LONDON, September 19. The Australian Press Association’s Geneva correspondent says that the Legal Committee adopted a resolution for submission the Assembly, amending Article Ten of the pact. This states that the assembly is desirous of defining the scope of the obligations contained in Article Ten, so far as the points raised by the Canadian delegation are concerned and affirms that in the event of the Council considering it is its duty to recommend the application of military measures as a result of aggression or danger or threat of aggression, that the Council shall be bound to take specially into account the geographical situation and special conditions of each State; further, it is within the constitutional powers of each member to consider as concerns the maintenance of independence and territorial integrity, how far such member is bound to assure the execution of this obligation by the employment of its military
, * - - ---- forces; finally, a recommendation made by the Council shall be considered of the highest importance and shall be taken into consideration by all members of the League with a desire to execute their engagements in good faith.
