OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM ST. GEORGE.

After an illness extending over six months, Mr. William St. George died, yesterday at his residence, Hari Han. He was about 40 years of age ,and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. St. George, of Dunedin, and formerly residents of Greymouth and Hokitika. Some years ago before his departure to take part in the Great War deceased was employed by Mark Sprot and Co., and by Griffen and Smith. Returning H° n ] the front, he purchased a farm at Hari Hari, and. resided there up to the time of his death. He married Miss Perry, a sister of Air. AV. E. Perry (Mayor o Hokitika), and leaves no family. Hjs four brothers are : Douglas (Westport), George (Christchurch), Roy (Q 0^ 1 Island), and Clarence (Southland). He also leaves one married sister, Kathleen (at Wanganui) and four single sisters (Mamie, Celeste, Belle anc Esme) The address of Mr. and Mrs. St. George, sent., is: 40, Tennyson Street, Dunedin. The body of deceased is being brought to Hokitika, wheie the funeral will take place to-mcn-row, leaving the residence of Air. W. J-g Perry. MR. JAMES HYNDMAN. Air. James Hyndman died yesterday at Cobden, after a long illness. Deceased was a native of Ross, 52 years of age, and resided at Hokitika and Kumara for many years. About 14 years ago he took up his residence a Cobden, where he followed his occupation of miner an contractor. Decease was a keen follower of sport and wa also a member of the Grey Waterside Workers’ Union. He loaves a widow two daughters (Mrs. R. Comerford, Cobden, and Airs. R- Pierce, Invercargill) and one son (Mi. D. L}M man). The sister of the late Mr. Hynd“an is Mrs. G. Burns, of Cobtaj, ami there are six Brothers: Boboit .ind Joseph (Wellington), David, AAii.ian, Harry, and Adam (Otira). ' MRS. GRACE RYAN. The death occurred suddenly at her residence Paekakariki, AVcllington on June 24, of Airs. Grace Ryan, wife of a, well-known railway official, All. Michael Ryan. The deceased lad}, who was only thirty-eight years of age at tho time of her death leaves a husband and four young children. ille husband is well known on the Wert Coast, and is a son of Mi. Al. Kja of R-oto Manti. MR. WILLIAM 7 JOHNSTON. Tho death occurred on Saturday _at Trentham Military Hospital of Air. AVi.llia.rn Johnston, the eldest son Mr. and Mrs. R. Johnston, of High Street, Greymouth. Deceased, who was 26 years of age, had been mi n « - of various hospitals since, his retui from the front.
