VIENNA, Jun© 17. When charged in the criminal court here, the man arrested on Thursday admitted that he was Gerald Bevan the absconding London financier. He lived under an assumed name, with a French woman.
It is reported Bevan, after attempting to commit suicide, made a statement that he had not gained anything from his irregularities in the City Equitable Insurance Company’s finance’s.
Extradition proceedings are now »e--ing taken.
