Those who visited the Cobden Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon witnessed a splendid hockey match between the Hokitika and Blackball ladies. Both teams were in gopil trim, and the game was fast and furious. At halftime there were no scores. The second half was played in better style than the first, and near the finish of the game Hokitika’s centre halt, Miss Wallace, scored a goal. After another bully'off, Blackball brought play to dangerous ground, and after a good battle, Miss Levings, inside wing, scored for Blackball, making the game a draw. .
