Wanting 314 to win, Warwickshire failed against Newman’s and Kennedy’s bowling and were all otit for 158. Essex 203 and 175 for 5 declared (Russell not out 125) and beat Sussex 120 and 131. In the championship competition, Surrey has 82 points, Yorkshire 80, Notts 70, Kent, 68, Middlesex 66, Hampshire 60, Sussex 54, and Essex 46. LEADING PLAYERS. LONDON, June 18.
