OTIRA TUNNEL

ROAD AGAIN BLOCKED. Advice was received at Greymouth this morning to the effect that two big slips have occurred on the road over the Otira Gorge. It is reported that the debris from one slip is 28 feet deep, and it is doubtful whether the road will be cleared in time to allow the coaches to get through to-morrow. In that case the mails and presumably the passengers will be sent through the tunnel. Further details regarding the slip were not available up to the time the “Star” went to press.
